Nell Powell

NELL POWELLwas born in Trenton, Tennessee on October 13, 1912 the daughter of the late Robert Lemmuel and Lura Becton Love.On August 10, 1935 she was united in marriage to George Franklin Powell, Sr., who preceded his wife in death on February 12, 1989.Mrs. Powell was a homemaker. She was a member of East End United Methodist Church, where she kept nursery for over 30 years.Mrs. Powell departed this life on October 22, 2008 at the Hardin County Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 96 years and 9 days.She is survived by 2 daughters, Nancy Doran and her husband Gene of Savannah, Tennessee and Patsy Few and her husband John of Jackson, Tennessee.9 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildrenMrs. Powell was also preceded in death by one son, George Franklin Powell, Jr., 2 sisters, Ruby Bryson and Sarah Harper and 4 brothers, Ben, Hubert, William and Robert Love.
