Nell Marie McKenzie

Nell Marie was born on September 6, 1931, in Selmer, TN to the late Jack and Sina Hubanks. She was united in marriage on May 29, 1945, to Joel Hollis McKenzie. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who always cared for her family. Her home was always kept immaculate, and everything had its place. She enjoyed taking care of her family and had a love for cooking. She made the best M&M chocolate cake for all to enjoy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Hollis McKenzie, her brothers, Lloyd, Preston, Charlie, and Melvin Hubanks, and her granddaughter, Tywana McKenzie.
She is survived by five children, Randy McKenzie (Cindy), Patricia Buress (the late Steve), Dean Ellis (Mac), Betty Keen (Mike), and Heaven Danielle Miller (Brent), a sister, Faye Watridge, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Thomas Vandiver, Dustin Ellis, Brandon Rodgers, Jacoby Rodgers, Brent Burress, and Trey McKenzie.
Honorary pallbearers are Caleb Ellis, Logan Overton, and Gage Vandiver.
Funeral Services will be held at Shackelford Funeral Home in Selmer, Tennessee with her grandson, Colton Keen, presenting the eulogy.
