Nell Gammill

NELL GARRETT GAMMILLwas born on June 25, 1912, in Hardin County Tennessee, in the Nixon Community, to Joel Foster Garrett and Ida Belle (Austin) Garrett, who preceded her in death. She married Archie Gammill on February 8, 1942, and he preceded her in death on April 26, 1982.Nell departed this life on October 28, 2012, at the age of 100 years, 4 months, and 3 days.Nell owned and operated Gammill\'s Grocery Store for many years. She was a member of Wesley\'s Chapel United Methodist Church, where she loved to attend and work. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and being a homemaker.She is survived by two daughters, Kathryn, and her husband, Peter Melonas of Cordova, Tennessee and Charlotte Gammill of Savannah, Tennessee, and a granddaughter, Emily Ann Melonas.In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Helen Worley.
