NELL BUTLER CORSONHenderson, TN: Rosa Nell Butler Corson, age 79, died March 23, 2009 at Regional Hospital of Jackson.She was born and reared in Chester County, the daughter of the late Walter B. and Edna Rosena Holloway Butler. She attended schools in Chester County. She moved to Memphis and went to work at the Wonder Bread Bakery and later at the restaurant counter at Walgreens. In 1952 she was married to Victor Corson who was serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. She followed Victor in his military service all over the country. Mr. Carson retired in 1969 from the Marines and they continued to make their home in Godfrey, IL where she worked for Kroger. They moved to Chester County in 1981. They both worked part time for the Chester County Independent in the press room. She was a member of the New Friendship Baptist Church. They loved to travel and belonged to Roadtrek International, a motor home traveling group class B. They had visited every state in the Union, all the Providences of Canada and had visited Hawaii and Mexico.She is survived by her husband; Victor Douglas Corson of Henderson; a brother, J.T. Butler of Henderson; four sisters, Irene Jones of Corinth, MS, Clara Bell Busby of Henderson, Estelle Jones of Henderson and Gertrude Melton of Saltillo.
