Naomi Jean Ferguson of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, McNairy County School System school bus driver and cafeteria worker, was born on November 27, 1936, the daughter of the late Shady and Anis Moore Maness. She was married to Quinton Ferguson who preceded her in death on February 15, 1979.
Mrs. Ferguson passed from this life on Thursday, November 8, 2007, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 70 years, 11 months, and 12 days.
Survivors are two daughters, Naomi Mayfield and husband Ronnie, and Susie Plunk, both of Bethel Springs; son Dennis Ferguson and wife Margie also of Bethel Springs; two sisters, Omadell Maness of Henderson, Tennessee, and Marie Sanders of Selmer; two brothers, Buel Maness of Henderson, and Ralph Maness of Bethel Springs.
Six grandchildren: Tammy Whirley, Amanda Kinchen, Shane Ferguson, Jason Ferguson, Brandon Crouse, Daniel Plunk
Four great-grandchildren: Dillon, Logan, Nolan, and Jace Kinchen
A host of other relatives and friends.
Other than her parents and husband, Jean was also preceded in death by a son Michael Edward Ferguson, a grandson Ryan Ferguson, and a brother Archie Maness.
