Naomi Creecy

Naomi Gobbell Creecy was born September 17, 1927 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Hobert and Roxie Nutt Gobbell. She departed this life on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Wayne County Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 1 Month, 20 Days. Mrs. Creecy was a homemaker, also worked at Genesco, Mallory, and was a teachers aide at Waynesboro Elementary School. She was a member of Wayne Furnace Church of Christ.Mrs. Creecy is survived by her husband, Calvin C. Creecy of Waynesboro, TN; son, Alvin Creecy of Waynesboro, TN; daughter, Doris Creecy Cherry of Mt. Pleasant, TN; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Revis Gobbell of Eads, TN; and sister, Effie Matney of Lawrenceburg, TN; nieces and nephews.Services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Wayne Furnace Church of Christ in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Cary Crews and Tom Holland officiating. Burial will follow in the Wayne Furnace Church of Christ Cemetery at Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Friday, November 7, 2008 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, November 8, 2008 from 10 am until service time at Wayne Furnace Church of Christ.
