NANCY SMITH BISHOP
Henderson, TN: Nancy Parlee Smith Bishop age 84 passed away March 25, 2015 at Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born January 17, 1931 in the Cabo Community, the daughter of the late Sam and Ella Pike Smith. She was married to Henry Bishop. They made their home in Henderson. She was a member of the Plainview Church of Christ.
She worked at Salant & Salant Mfg. and later Freed Hardeman Bookstore for twenty five years retiring in 1999. She also worked at Bishop Exxon from 1984 until 1988.
She is survived by a son, Doug Bishop (Donna) of Henderson; two grandchildren, William and Justin Bishop of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Henry Bishop, three sisters, Marine Russom, Carrie Neal Lott and Louise Carter, and four brothers, Billy Smith, Leo Smith, Manson Smith and Charles Smith.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with burial in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 5 PM until 9 PM on Friday.
