Nadine Skelton Hanson was born April 9, 1936 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Richard Hooper, Sr. and Rosie Lucille Mathis Skelton. Ms Hanson was a dietary supervisor and a member of the Methodist Church.
She departed this life on Monday, February 23, 2009 at her home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 72 years, 10 months, 14 days.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandy Nipper and husband, Ronald of Waynesboro, TN; two sons, Randy Hanson and wife, Charlotte of Spring Hill, TN and Tracy Hanson and wife, Kathy of Waynesboro, TN; grandson, Christopher Nelson and wife, Leah; step-grandchildren, Jessica Holt and husband, Mikie, and Nathaniel LaBreque; great-grandchildren, Carson, Tyler and Andrew Nelson; step-great-grandchildren, Britton and Hakken Holt; a brother, Richard Hooper Skelton Jr. of Waynesboro, TN; a sister, Doretta Staggs of Hohenwald, TN; nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bobbie Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Skelton, Scott Skelton, Chris Cruce, Colby Littrell, Brandon Frazier, Jerry Casteel, Mikie Holt.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 24, 2009 from 5:30 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday, February 25, 2009 from 8 am to service time at the funeral home.
