Myrtle Vernice Morris

MYRTLE VERNICE MORRIS



was born on February 26, 1921 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of Robert Weak and Mattie Jane Rideout White. On February 19, 1938 she was united in marriage to Johnny Luther Morris, who preceded her in death on August 24, 1969.



Mrs. Morris was employed by and eventually retired with Savannah Manufacturing in Savannah, Tennessee, she also was employed by Dillon Manufacturing. She lived in the Walnut Grove Community, as well as White's Creek and was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of Christ. She was a good mother, who worked hard, and taught her children to work. She loved going to her church, when she was able to.



Mrs. Morris departed this life on April 25, 2013 at the age of 92 years, 1 month and 30 days at the Savannah Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Savannah, Tennessee.



She is survived by two sons, Johnny Ray Morris and his wife, Laverne, from Lutts, Tennessee, and Ralph David Morris of Savannah, Tennessee; four daughters, Shirley Fay Franks and her husband, Keaton of Savannah, Tennessee, Mackie Nell Fielder and her husband, Aaron of Lutts, Tennessee, Tera Ann Daniels and her husband, Lynn, and Kathy McFall of Savannah, Tennessee; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. one sister, Opha Dee Davis of Florence, Alabama and one brother, Tommy Jack White of Kilen, Alabama.



In addition to her parents and her husband, Johnny Luther Morris, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Sue White; sisters, Hester Clay, Reba Brewer, Beda Black, and Marie Roberts; brothers, Floyd White, Hershel White, Ralph White, Junior White and Adam White; and two grandchildren.
