Myrtle Helen Kiser

Myrtle Helen Matlock Kiser, age 85, of Selmer, Tennessee went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, July 10, 2010. She was born on March 2, 1925, a daughter of the late P. C. and Sallie Littlejohn White. She was a homemaker and factory worker for many years and loved to work in the garden and cook meals for her family. Mrs. Kiser was a member of Selmer Second Baptist Church.



She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Matlock, on September 23, 1980, and her second husband, L. D. Kiser, on December 12, 2008. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Eddie Simpson, and two brothers, Everette White and Roy White.



Mrs. Kiser leaves to cherish her memory, a son, J. D. Matlock and wife Brenda, and a daughter, Jackie Matlock Simpson and husband Paul, all of Selmer; six grandchildren, Adam Simpson and wife Kristen of Limassol, Cyprus, Amber Phegley and husband Len of Dresden, Germany, Sallie Bodiford and husband Derek of Selmer, Delise Russell and husband Clint of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Elizabeth Matlock and Jana Raé Matlock, both of Selmer; a step-daughter, Martha Lynn Holt and husband Danny of Savannah, Tennessee; a granddaughter-in-law, Aimee Simpson Redmon of Selmer; fourteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lorene North of Selmer, a brother, Tolbert White of Memphis. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
