Myrtle Ida Dean Kilburn Brewer

Myrtle Ida Dean Kilburn Brewer, age 91, of Waynesboro, TN, passed away on March 5, 2025. She was born on March 3, 1934, in Wayne County, TN, she was the cherished daughter of the late James Frank and Ollie M. Creasy Kilburn.

Dean's journey through life was marked by love and companionship. She was united in marriage to Tom Cebe Brewer Jr., who sadly preceded her on August 15, 1988. After his passing, she found happiness with her significant other, Lannie Keeton Jr., whom she shared 23 wonderful years with until his passing on May 22, 2023.

Dean devoted over 40 years of her life to Lincoln Brass Manufacturing Company, where she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues before retiring in 2000. She was known for her vibrant spirit and passion for life, which she carried into all her pursuits. In her leisure time, she found joy in attending auctions and collecting antiques, as well as lovingly tending to her flower garden. Dean delighted in the company of friends and family, especially during cherished gatherings at Cole Cemetery, lovingly referred to as “Dinner on the Ground,” where she thrived in embracing the spirit of community and connection.

She is survived by her daughter, Ada Jane Brewer Flippo of Waynesboro, TN; daughter at heart, Chris Yeiser; her stepson, David Brewer (Patsy) of Lawrenceburg, TN; sister, Betty Lou Daniel of Lawrenceburg, TN; grandchildren, Seth Braiden Flippo, Jim Flippo, and Kim Lee; and great grandchildren, Lexi Lee and Lane Brewer.

In addition to her husband, significant other, and parents, Dean was preceded in death by her son, Donald Gene Pulley; grandson, Steven Edward Pulley; brother, Buford Kilburn; infant brother, James Loyd Kilburn; sisters, Imogene Luna, and Irene Hicks.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Cole Cemetery in Waynesboro, TN with Casey Jones officiating and burial to follow.
