Mr. Muesel Clifft, age 84 of Whiteville, departed this life Monday, January 30, 2012 at Bolivar General Hospital.
Mr. Clifft was born in Hardeman County October 26, 1927 to the late Ermond Lloyd and Carrie Lavern Long Clifft. May 14, 1953 he married Jessie Cooke Clifft, who survives. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean conflict as a Combat Engineer.
He lived all of his life in the Hardeman County area and worked as a farmer. He loved to garden and grow corn, beans and tomatoes which he would give to his relatives and friends. He would also raise a turnip patch and offered it up free for picking.
In addition to his wife, he leaves as his survivors a son, Miles Clifft and his wife Martha of Bolivar; three brothers, Richard Clifft of Bolivar, Robert Clifft of Bolivar and Jerry Clifft, also of Bolivar; two grandchildren, Michael Clifft and Jennifer Malvezzi; a stepgranddaughter, Ginger Evans; one great-grandchild and three step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Crump, Frances Bomar, and Peggy Pattat; and three brothers, James Clifft, Jack Clifft, and Fred Clifft.
