Mozelle Katy Blake

Mozelle Katy Blake was born September 8, 1915 in Pinson, Tennessee the daughter of the late Nuete and Belle Holmes McGill. She was united in marriage to Craig W. Blake, Mr. Blake preceded her in death . She was a member of the Pinson Baptist Church in Pinson, TN. She was born and raised in Pinson, Tenn. and lived in Illinois and New Mexico before moving back to Tenn. in 1963. She worked in ready to wear at Rosenblooms, Nolans and Zanes in Jackson. She also managed the Talbot Towers Apts. in Jackson for 13 years until she moved in 2001 to Bloomfield, N.M. to be near her daughter where she lived until her death on March 13, 2008.Services will be held on July 12, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Jimmy Bedwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Unity Cemetery at Jacks Creek , TennesseeShe is survived by a daughter, Katherine Pearce of Bloomfield, NM, and a daughter in law, Bozenna Blake of Houston, TX; five grandchildren, Jennifer Pearce, Wendy Chavez and Robert, Christopher Blake and Kristin, Yolanda Blake, Benjamin Blake; two great grandchildren, Patrick Chavez, Katrina Chavez; In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs.Blake was preceded in death by a son, John Blake.
