MOSES MITCHELL
was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on May 3, 1951 the son of the late Johnny William and Ruby Fay Petigo Mitchell.
On April 29, 1983 he was united in marriage to Barbara Gail Odle, who survives.
Mr. Mitchell had worked for Hunter Smith and Tallent and Baker and Baker Surveyors for 10 years. He presently was working for F and M Consulting for 22 years. Mr. Mitchell was a past member of the Savannah Jaycees, where he had served as President and he worked with baseball. He enjoyed cooking, grilling, gardening, sports, fishing and hunting. Mr. Mitchell also enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, Andy Griffith Show and his favorite was MASH.
He departed this life on March 14, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 64 years, 10 months and 11 days.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, whom he had been married to for 32 years, he is survived by one son, Kevin Freeman of Corinth, Mississippi.

five sisters, Johnnie Austin and her husband Hoover, Mary Baker and her husband Larry, Linda Higgins and her husband Douglas and Joyce Franks, all of Savannah, Tennessee and Martha Inman of Nashville, Tennessee.
Mr. Mitchell is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Katie Wardlow.
