Morris Gene Willis was born on March 20, 1936 in Saltillo, Tennessee the son of the late Rural Ernest and Clyde Morris Willis.
On February 7, 1953 he was united in marriage to the former Frances Pryor, who survives.
Mr. Willis worked for the Hardin County Highway Department and was a member of Saltillo First Baptist Church.
He departed this life on August 20, 2005 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 69 years and 5 months.
Mr. Willis is survived by his wife, Frances Willis of Saltillo, Tennessee; 2 daughters: Rhonda Rainey of Savannah, Tennessee and Vivian Ruth of Sardis, Tennessee;
3 grandchildren: Joe Maness of Millington, Tennessee, Shane Ruth of Woodbury, Tennessee and Andy Ruth of Adamsville, Tennessee; 2 great-grandchildren: Ethan Maness and Alex Ruth;
one step-grandchild, Michael Rainey; one step-great-grandchild, Ethan Markham; one brother, Tommy Willis of Reagan, Tennessee;
a niece, Dixie Willis of Sardis, Tennessee and a nephew, Gary Willis of Saltillo, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Aubrey Willis.
