Morris Macon Dale was born in Clayton, Alabama on December 25, 1913, the son of Elow and Annie Itson Dale. On January 9, 1934, he was united in marriage to the former Eva Estelle Matthews, who preceded him in death on July 11, 2004.
A millwright by trade, he worked for various mills and was a member of their union. He was also a member of the Peoples Tabernacle in Savannah.
Mr. Dale departed this life while a patient in Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee, on August 11, 2005, at the age of 91 years, 7 months and 17 days.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry Dale of Mishawaka, Indiana and Tommy Dale on Indianapolis, Indiana; three grandchildren, Jerry Dale, Donna Loucks and Dennis Dale, and three sisters, Jewel Wilkerson of Savannah, Angle Martin of Phoenix, Arizona and Jeanette Narrmore of Dora, Alabama.
Other than his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harvey, Pat and Manard Dale.
