Monica Louise Harris

Monica Louise Harris, age 95 of Whiteville, passed away Wednesday night, December 21, 2011 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar.Mrs. Harris was born August 6, 1916 to the late Homer Littleton and Catherine Callery Cooke in Haywood County, Tennessee. The widow of Hugh Harris, who died in 1984, she lived most of her life in Memphis where she worked as a gift wrapper for Goldsmiths. She lived in the Whiteville area for the last 25 years. She was a member of the Woodlawn Chapel Order of the Eastern Star in Memphis.She is survived by a sister, Jessie Clifft of Whiteville and a host of neices and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by three brothers, HC Cooke, Cyrus Cooke, and Hugh Cooke.
