Mona Moore

Mona F. Moore, age 78, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 surrounded by loving family and friends.

She was born December 24, 1935 in Hempstead County, Arkansas to the late Lonnie B. and Annie Ruth (Worthey) Lumpkin. Mona was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She enjoyed reading, working in her flower gardens and traveling with her beloved husband and best friend. Mona struggled for several years with health issues but during that time she always kept her sense of humor and her beautiful smile.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Robert Lumpkin; sister Julia Dick and grandson Nicholas Carter.

Mona is survived by her husband of twenty-four years John Moore of Hot Springs, Arkansas; son, Jerry Lee Ponder of Hot Springs, Arkansas; daughters Viola Ruth Ponder of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Debra Wilson (Andy) of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and Jimmie Gaye Buono (Christopher) of Ashburnham, Massachusetts; brothers James Lumpkin of Hope, Arkansas, Harold Lumpkin of Dallas, Texas and Richard Lumpkin of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; sisters, Sue Lumpkin of Hope, Arkansas and Carolyn Patton of Sherwood, Arkansas; grandchildren, Melissa McDonald of Traskwood, Arkansas, Joe Harris of Longview, Texas, Lyndsay Moen of San Antonio, Texas and Matthew, Anthony and Andrea Buono of Ashburnham, Massachusetts; five great-grandchildren and her very dear friend Dee Nery.
