Mollie Lorene Fowler

Mollie Lorene Bates Fowler of Iron City, TN was born October 22, 1928 in Wayne Co., TN, the daughter of the late Thomas Allen and Ida Pearlee Weaver Bates. She was united in marriage to James Rufus Fowler and he preceded her in death on October 15, 1980.

Mrs. Fowler was a retired machine operator and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Mrs. Fowler departed this life on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at E. C. M. Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 86 Years, 9 Months, 21 Days.

She is survived by a son, Lee Allen Hanback and wife, Shelby of Hillsboro, AL; a daughter, Connie Robbins and companion, Willie B. Heard of Iron City, TN; grandchildren, Stephen Lee Hanback and wife, Tonya, Angi Carol Achenback and husband, Mark and Jeremiah James Robbins and wife, Ashley; great-grandchildren, Caleb Allen and Colby Allen Hanback, Kenze and Isaac William Achenback and Bentley James Robbins; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by brothers, Cleo, Clarence and Wesley Bates; sisters, Ollie Stricklin, Myrtle Hanback and Joyce Dodd and two infant siblings.

Services will be Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Nolan Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Marty Dodd, Keith Dodd, Tommy Stricklin, Randy Stricklin, James Stricklin and Chris Stricklin. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Torres, Dr. Robert Mann and Jeff Bates.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 1 pm to 3 pm at the funeral home.
