MOLENE JONES
Jackson, TN: Frankie Molene Little Jones, age 91 passed away Friday morning, March 15, 2013 at Jackson General Hospital.
Mrs. Jones was born and reared in Henderson County, the Center Hill Community, the daughter of the late William Frank and Martha Ellen Ross Little. She grew up in Chester County, in the Mifflin Community, and worked on the farm until she married William Homer Jones of the same community in 1938. Mr. Jones served in WWII 1939 until 1945 and Mrs. Jones continued to live in Henderson and worked for Salant & Salant Mfg. from 1939 until 1947. They moved to Memphis in 1947 and she was employed at a lingerie factory and later for Major Casket Company, retiring in 1979. They moved from Memphis to Tigrett. Mr. Jones died in 1996. Mrs. Jones moved to the East Union Community to be near her family. She was a member of the Nebo United Methodist Church.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Homer Jones and four brothers; Elred, Alton, Ezra, and Elra Little and four sisters; Estelle McPeake, Ledell Haney, Exell Roby, and Irene Attaway.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Rev. George Reed officiating and burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday.
