Minnie Inez Vandiver, 89, of Bolivar, died Friday, March 30, 2007 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The widow of James Wesley Vandiver, who died in October of 1970, she was a psychiatric technician at Western Mental Health Institute for over 20 years. Mrs. Vandiver was born August 19, 1917 in Bolivar, daughter of the late David Crockett Morris and Katherine Elizabeth Taylor Morris. She lived here all of her life, enjoyed flowers and gardening and loved to read. Mrs. Vandiver was a member of Dixie Hills Baptist Church and a former member of West Memorial Baptist Church near Saulsbury.
Survivors include five daughters, Doris Marcum of Bolivar, Charline Rindels of Collierville, Jessica Sharkey of Bolivar, Barbara Ann Brown Martin of Nashville and Marti Sadlak of Bolivar; three sons, Donald Vandiver of Bolivar, Brad Vandiver of Jackson, Larry Vandiver of Bolivar and one sister, Loraine Baker of Bolivar. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son and daughter, Samuel Morris Vandiver and Norma Jean Vandiver.
