Millie Geneva Yewell

Millie Geneva Yewell was born November 18, 1935 in Bay, Arkansas the daughter of the late George (Tom) Thomas and Selma Haven Reed Stewart. She attended school in Shelby Co. graduating from Frazier High School. She was married to Jerry Yewell in 1950. Mr. Yewell preceded her in death in 1996. Mrs. Yewell worked as a supervisor and office manager for the Bankrupcy Trustee in Jackson. She retired in 2002. She had lived in Memphis most of her life before moving to Chester Co. in 1973. She was a Baptist.



Mrs.Yewell departed this life on March 27, 2010 in Henderson, Tennessee at the age of 74 Years, 4 Months, 9 Days.



She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Geneva Griffin of Henderson, TN, and Deborah Gail Scheiwer of Henderson, TN; three brothers, George Stewart of Arkansas, Darryl Stewart of Oklahoma, and Charlie Stewart of Alabama; two sisters, Maxine Reeves of Arkansas , Katherine Battles of California; four grandchildren, Jeremy Arnold, Lindsey Hodges, Alicia Owens, Callie Rickard; four great grandchildren, Ben Arnold, Dylan Arnold, Kaitlyn Mesecher, and Hannah Mesecher.



Services will be held on March 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Casey Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Jeremy Arnold, Mike Cothren officiating. Burial will follow in the House of Prayer Cemetery in Chester County, TN. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until 8 pm on Sunday.
