Mildred Louise Wagner, 82, of Bolivar, died Wednesday evening, August 2, 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widow of Louis Wagner, she was a seamstress at a curtain factory in Memphis and a handbag factory in Hattiesburg, Miss. Mrs. Wagner was born June 3, 1924 in Sheffield, Alabama, daughter of the late James Neal Freeman and Adeline Lucindia Lowe Freeman. She was raised in Middleton and lived in Memphis and Hattiesburg before making her home in Bolivar. Mrs. Wagner was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.
Services were 11 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with David Cooper and Virgil Howell officiating. Burial was in Brint’s Chapel Cemetery near Middleton.
She is survived by four sisters, Mary Frances Lomneick of Shelby, NC; Annie Lou Knott of Bartlett, Eva Mae Howell of Middleton and Dorothy Ruth King of Covington, GA; 21 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, William Franklin Freeman, James Edward Freeman, Charles Everett Freeman, Henry Ford Freeman and Lester Freeman.
