Mildred Mae Wood Harvey Mildred Mae Wood Harvey, 87, Morris Chapel, TN passed away August 11 at 1:50 am at the home of her granddaughter Terri Roe.Mrs. Harvey was born June 9, 1919 in Damon, TN to the late James David and Sophia Pearl Wardlow Wood. She was the wife of retired Hardin Co. educator the late A. C. Harvey. They married November 27, 1941, in Corinth, MS. Mrs. Harvey worked many years in the Hardin Co. School District as a cook until taking the position as kitchen director and head cook at the old Saltillo Elementary School from which she retired. Prior to working as a cook she worked many years in the local Brown Shoe Factory until it closed. She always carried fond memories of her friends and coworkers there.Mrs. Harvey better known as “Granny Harvey,†was an avid gardener, reader, cook, seamstress, and animal lover. She was a well loved and respected member of the Hookers Bend Community where she spent the better part of her adult life. She will greatly missed by many friends and loved ones.Mrs. Harvey was preceded in death by her husband, A. C. Harvey and her son, Larry G. Harvey, as well as several brothers and sisters. She is survived by three grandchildren, Jeremy Harvey of Morris Chapel, TN, Kerri Foster (Kelly) of Yuma, TN, Terri Roe (Bryan) of Medina, TN, one sister Tina Strawn (Billy) of Michie, TN and ten great grandchildren; Page Hall, Bryanna Harvey, Levi Harvey, Glen Harvey, Ace Harvey, Nathan Foster, Emily Foster, Leslie Foster, Lane Roe and Leah Roe.
