Mildred Inez Griswell

Mildred Inez Matlock Griswell was born October 19, 1917 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Edgar C. and Jennie Hardin Matlock.She was united in marriage to Hillard Lee Griswell, who preceded her in death on September 23, 1984.Mrs. Griswell worked in housekeeping for 14 years at McNairy Regional Hospital, and was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Selmer.Mrs. Griswell departed this life on November 14, 2008 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 26 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy W. White of Adamsville, TN; a son, Joe F. Griswell of Ramer, TN; a sister, Myrtle (Matlock) Allison of Selmer, TN; a brother, Wilson Matlock of Bethel Springs, TN; 9 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Griswell was preceded in death by a daughter, Delma Ruth Griswell; a son, Bobby Allen Griswell; a sister, Tressie Griswell; four brothers: H. T. Matlock, J. R. Matlock, J. C. Matlock and Harold Matlock; and a grandchild.
