Mildred Bass

November 29, 1929 — December 13, 2007

Mrs. Bass passed away Thursday afternoon at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.



The widow of Everett J. Bass, who died on September 2, 2001, she was a payroll clerk with the Bolivar Tannery for 30 years. She was born to Vernon and Grace Willoughby Siler, both of whom preceded her in death and lived most of her life in Hardeman County. She was a graduate of Bolivar Central High School in 1947 and was class valedictorian. Mrs. Bass was a member of Bolivar 1st Baptist Church.



Survivors include two sisters, Norma Jean Sedberry of Silerton and Jolene Lee of Montpilier, Vermont; a brother, Bill Siler of Silerton; four nieces and four nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Truett Siler and a niece, Debbie Lee.
