Mrs. Baker died Thursday evening at Maplewood Nursing Center in Jackson. She was the daughter of Troy Duren and Zula Edna Haney Mullis, lived in Bemis for many years except from 1975 - 1985 when she lived in Middleton and the last seven years in Jackson.
Mrs. Baker was the widow of Ramer Baker, who died July 8, 1985 and was a member of the South Jackson (formerly "Bemis") church of Christ. For 16 1/2 years, she was a seamstress for Oakley Fashions. She had also worked at Mid-South Textiles and was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Glenda Ferrell Piercey of Jackson and one son, Douglas Warren of St. Louis, Missouri; four granddaughters, Dawn Piercey of Jackson, Darlene Kyle of Selmer; Sherry Miller and Lynn Connor, both of Henderson; four grandsons, Darren Piercey of Long Island, New York, Warren Taylor of Jackson, Tony and Keith Warren, both of Henderson; and several great-grandchildren, neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Winford Warren; and two sisters, Mable Brooks and Gladys Thomas.
