Michael Doyle Sowell

Michael Doyle Sowell was born February 8, 1962 in Savannah, TN the son of the late T.E. (PeeWee) and Joyce Rickman Sowell.
He was united in marriage to Shelia Rene Rowland on June 1, 1984. Mrs. Sowell preceded him in death on May 19, 1985.
Mike worked at Quebecor World Color in Corinth, MS for several years. After the closing of World Color, he worked at Food Giant for 10 years and Piggly Wiggly before retiring to spend time with his family.
He enjoyed fishing, boating, deer hunting, and watching Westerns. He loved spending time with his sister and going out to eat.
Mike departed this life on September 8, 2022 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 60 Years, 7 Months. He is survived by a sister, Phyllis Sowell Hysmith and husband Teddy of Bethel Springs, TN; a daughter, Sammi Nicole Blakely of Athens, AL; three grandchildren; and a host of extended family and lifelong friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Sowell was preceded in death by grandparents, Elmer and Jewel Thacker Sowell, William T. and Verlie Lee Evans Rickman.
