Michael Ray King, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and beloved community member, passed away on February 7, 2025, in his hometown of Bolivar, Tennessee. Born on May 14, 1960, Michael graced the world with his warm spirit and unwavering dedication.

A proud graduate of Bolivar Central High School in 1978, he spent the next 28 years serving the community as a rural letter carrier with the United States Postal Service, a role he embraced until his retirement in 2015. Michael found immense joy in his work, always greeting customers with a friendly smile and a kind word, reflecting his deep-rooted commitment to the people of Bolivar.

Michael was a faithful member of Bolivar First Baptist Church, where he nurtured his spiritual life and built lasting friendships with fellow parishioners. He embodied the true meaning of community through his steadfast faith and compassion for others.

Outside of his professional and spiritual life, Michael was enveloped in love for his family. He adored his grandsons, Madden and Mason King, showering them with affection and cherished memories. He reveled in family time and created countless joyful moments, while also sharing his passion for hunting with his son, Chase King, alongside his wife, Kaitlyn. Whether on the golf course or in front of the television cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, these were the times Michael treasured most, surrounded by those he loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy L. King of Toone, his son and daughter-in-law, Chase and Kaitlyn King of Medon, along with his grandsons, Madden and Mason. His bond with his family was unbreakable, and they will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Michael is also survived by his sister, Gwen Ragain of Casa Grande, Arizona, and his nieces, Sara Jane Ragain and Samantha Sarnowski. They will carry forward the legacy of his kindness, humor, and love.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Jr. and Bonnie Glover King.

In remembrance of Michael, we celebrate a life richly lived, full of unforgettable moments and unwavering love. He may have departed from this earthly realm, but his spirit will forever illuminate the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
