Michael Ray King, husband, father, grandfather, passed away on February 7, 2025, at his home. Born on May 14, 1960, to Billy Jr. and Bonnie Glover King, he lived all his life in Hardeman County.
A proud graduate of Bolivar Central High School in 1978, he spent the next 28 years serving the Toone community as a rural letter carrier with the United States Postal Service, until his retirement in 2015.
Michael was a member of Bolivar First Baptist Church.
Outside of his professional life, Michael was enveloped in love for his family. He adored his grandsons, Madden and Mason King, showering them with affection and cherished memories. He reveled in family time and created countless joyful moments, while also sharing his passion for hunting with his son, Chase King. Whether on the golf course or in front of the television cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, these were the times Michael treasured most, surrounded by those he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy L. King of Toone, his son and daughter-in-law, Chase and Kaitlyn King of Medon, along with his grandsons, Madden and Mason. His bond with his family was unbreakable, and they will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Michael is also survived by his sister, Gwen Ragain of Casa Grande, Arizona, and his nieces, Sara Jane Ragain and Samantha Sarnowski. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Jr. and Bonnie Glover King.
In remembrance of Michael, we celebrate a life lived, full of unforgettable moments. He may have departed from this earthly realm, but his spirit will forever illuminate the hearts of his family and friends. Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or LeBonheur Children's Medical Center (www.lebonheur.org).
