Services for Michael Eugene Jones of Collinwood will be Sunday. December 30, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Cromwell Crossroads Church with John E. Banks and Steven Turnbow officiating. Burial will follow in the Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 11:00 AM until service time at Cromwell Crossroads Church.
Pallbearers are Christopher Risner, Corey Staggs, Kyle West, Jeremy Blackwell, Allen Bryant, Jason Ayers, Eli McCurry, and Brice McCurry.
Mr. Jones, a native of Madison, TN, was born March 9, 1957 a son of Clyde Eugene Jones who survives and the late Naomi Mai Jenkins Jones. He was the grandson of the late Buster and Elizabeth Jones and Allie and Edna Dickens; and brother of the late Peggy Louise Forsythe and Clara Jane Humphrey. He died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro at the age of 55 Years, 9 Months, 18 Days. Mr. Jones, a truck driver at Strom Engineering, was of the Baptist faith. He was married to Reva Joan Ayers September 28, 2007.
Other than his father, he is survived by his wife Reva Joan Ayers Jones of Collinwood, TN; three sons, Jody Wayne Ayers of Englewood, OH, James Michael Jones of Goodlettsville, TN, Matthew Lucas Jones of Adams, TN, three daughters, Emily Maxine Bryant of Scottsville, KY, Jamie Michelle West of Nashville, TN, and Lindsey Marie Taylor of Adams, TN; stepson, Christopher Lynn Risner of Collinwood, TN; fourteen grandchildren, Grace Ayers, Kamden Ayers, Peyton Ayers, Stormy Risner, Journey Hunt, Crissy Bryant, Kyle West, Garrett Gregory, Tyler Carlisle, Mandy Taylor, Alex Jones, Makayla Jones, Lucas Jones, and Wyatt Jones; a brother, Harold Dee Jones of Mt. Juliet, TN; four sisters, Judy Ann Jones of Nashville, TN, Sherry Ann Jewel of Bethpage, TN, Elizabeth Lorene Bilbrey of Nashville, TN, and Carol Lee Banks of Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews.
