Michael Rudolph Hopkins, born on December 1, 1953, in Selmer, Tennessee, was a beloved son of Jean Surratt Hopkins and the late Rudolph Hopkins.
Mike was a member of The Springs of Bethel in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. Throughout his life, he called various places home, including Palmetto, Louisiana, and Smyrna, Tennessee. He dedicated many years to his work at Monogram in Selmer, Tennessee.
A passionate musician, Mike had a deep love for bluegrass music. He expertly played the banjo, guitar, and fiddle, filling the hearts of those around him with the sounds of joy and harmony. In addition to music, he was a ham radio operator and enjoyed cross-stitching. Mike loved studying the word of God, dedicating many hours to deepen his faith.
Mr. Hopkins departed this life on December 15, 2024, in Corinth, Mississippi, at the age of 71 years and 14 days. His legacy of love for music, faith, and the connections he made will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by two daughters, Angela Hope Carmona of Alexandria, LA, Crystal Dawn Boudreaux and husband Aaron of Katy, TX; mother, Jean Hopkins of Bethel Springs, TN; a sister, Melissa Sellers of Bethel Springs, TN; two brothers, Jimmy Hopkins of Henderson, TN, and Benji Hopkins; nine grandchildren: Abigail Boudreaux of Katy, TX, Emily Quebedeaux and husband Zane of Lafayette, LA, Luke Boudreaux and wife Ashley of NC, Nathaniel Boudreaux of Katy, TX, Dylan Manley of Manassas, VA, Elijah Wilbanks of Alexandria, LA, Katy Manley of Manassas, VA, Chloe Manley of Alexandria, LA, Sophie Manley of Katy, TX; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his father, Mr. Hopkins was preceded in death by a daughter, Faith Lin Manley.
