Michael Dewayne Hayes

Michael Dewayne Hayes of Lutts, TN departed this life on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Wayne Care Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 48 Years, 8 Months, 12 Days. He was born September 2, 1964 in Florence, AL, the son of the late Ottis Jude and Wanda June Bevis Hayes. Michael was a converter technician with SCA Tissue Plant but had worked at Angelica, T J\'s, and Tennessee Apparel. He was a member of the Bevis Church of Christ, the American Legion, and USW Local 9-1535. He served his country in the TN Army National Guard from 1982--1994 and was discharged as a sargeant.He is survived by a daughter, Shelby Hayes of Collinwood, TN; a sister, Lisa Gay Hayes of Iron City, TN; nephews; Daniel and London Brison; aunts, uncles, and cousins.Services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Chase Walters and Nolan Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Balentine Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be John Stricklin, Kelvin Stricklin, Thomas Butler, Chad Stults, Darrell Bogus, and Ricky Haddock.
