Merlin C. Wolfe, 68 of Bolivar, died Saturday morning January 10 at Methodist Hospital in Germantown.Born December 25, 1940 to Ada Lee Johnson and the late Charles Houston Wolfe, Sr. he received his B. S. in Accounting at Carson-Newman College and was an accountant for Western Mental Health Institute, Harmon Automotive and Sequentia. He was a finance committee member and substitute Sunday School teacher at Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville and had been a long time member of Harmony Baptist. He was a native of East Tennessee and had lived here since 1963. He was married to Phyllis Wolfe January 16, 1992 who survives.In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one daughter, Lorraine Wolfe of Stanton; one stepdaughter Angie Crawley of Jackson; two sons, Charles Leon Wolfe of Gordonsville, TN and Stacey Wolfe of Milan; one sister Lila Jean Seal of Sneedville; one brother Norman Wolfe of Sneedville; and four grandchildren, Lee, Daniel, Michael and Jessica Crawley of Jackson. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his brother Charles Houston Wolfe, Jr.
