Merle Marie Watkins

Merle Marie Griswell Watkins was born March 11, 1926 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late George Daniel and Daisy Barham Griswell. She was united in marriage to Leonard Watkins who preceded her in death. Mrs. Watkins was a retired machine operator for Harwood Manufacturing Company in Adamsville, and she was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Watkins departed this life on January 11, 2006 in Enville, Tennessee at the age of 79 Years, 10 Months. She is survived by a daughter, Edith Hunter and husband Robert of Enville, Tennessee; a son, Lloyd Watkins and wife Brenda of Adamsville, Tennessee; a grandson, Andy Watkins; a great-granddaughter, Sarah Watkins; and a great-grandson, Ethan Watkins. In addition to her parents and spouse, Mrs. Watkins was also preceded in death by two sisters: Maudie Brown and Monie Plunk, and five brothers: Brodie Griswell, Logan Griswell, Hillard Griswell, Hallie Griswell and Arnold Griswell.
