Melba Ruth Raines Treece

Melba Ruth Treece was born August 27, 1924 in McNairy County, TN, the daughter of the late Tommy Alexander Raines and Mary Elizabeth "Elizzie" Bearden Raines.

Mrs. Treece was a member of the Pebble Hill Church in Michie, Tennessee. She was united in marriage to Ernest Treece in 1943. Mr. Treece preceded her in death in November of 1979. Melba and Ernest spend a lot of their time together going to Racking horse shows and celebration. She worked at Garan Manufacturing in Adamsville, TN and later at ITT in Selmer where she retired.

Mrs. Treece departed this life on February 19, 2022 in Stantonville, Tennessee at the age of 97 Years, 5 Months, 23 Days.

She is survived by a daughter, Shelia Joan Treece of Stantonville, TN; a sister, Edna Mae Raines Tacker of Adamsville, TN; several nieces and nephews; and she loved her grand fur babies.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Treece was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Barbara Ruth treece; a sister, Hazel Thomas Raines Whitaker; two brothers, Hayward and Roscoe Raines.
