MAYRINE ADKINS

 Finger, TN: Mayrine Dickson Adkins, age 82 passed away January 20, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born July 3, 1942, in Missouri City, MO, the daughter of the late Milton Bill and Norma Jean Patterson Dickson.

She grew up in Finger, TN and attended Old Friendship School. She married Woodrow Gayle Adkins in 1957. Mr. Adkins preceded her in death in 2003.

She loved the Lord and her church family and had been a member of the Old Friendship Baptist Church since 1970.

She had worked for Quality Manufacturing and had retired after more than 20 years.

She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, was an excellent cook and enjoyed celebrating holidays, especially enjoyed giving gifts and decorating at Christmas.

She was a devoted wife, and loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Adkins is survived by a son, Richard Adkins (Sharon) of Finger; grandchildren, Crystal Adkins (Jesse), Nicholas Adkins, Cody Duncan (Lindsey), Nick D’Acquisto; great grandchildren, Samuel Webb, Scarlett Webb, Chyenne Webb, Andrew Webb, Kylan Murphy, Matthew Adkins, Atlanta Adkins and Brayden Adkins; great-great grandchildren, Taven Duncan and Leonidas Webb and two sisters, Shannon Nowlin (Dave) and Donna Lynch.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, Dustin Adkins, a brother, Bobby Dickson and a sister, Pat Stout.

Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Thursday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Bro. Iran Smith officiating. There will be a private burial.

The family will receive friends at East Main 10:00 AM until 11:30 service time on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.
