Maynard Irvinwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on November 23, 1947 the son of Walter Gilbert Irvin and Dorothy Austin Smith, both of Savannah, Tennessee.On August 5, 1996 Mr. Irvin was united in marriage to the former Pamela Sue Gray of Savannah, Tennessee, who survives.Mr. Irvin was a sawmill owner and farmer before retiring. He loved camping, playing cards, and his grandkids. He was a member of the Savannah Moose Lodge.Mr. Irvin departed this life on April 18, 2008 at his home the age of 60 years, 4 months, 26 days.In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by 1 son: Gary Irvin of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 daughters: Beverly Worley, Sondra Franks, Rhonda Dempsey all of Savannah, Tennessee; 1 sister: Francis Elsie Crum of Humboldt, Tennessee; 5 grandchildren: Kelsey Franks, Kelly Dempsey, Kaitlin Dempsey, Mallory Tilley, Jordan (Spud) Franks.Mr. Irvin was preceded in death by his grandparents: Dan and Ida Irvin of Burnt Church, James Harve and Gladys Austin of Burnt Church.
