Maxine B. Jamerson Wright

Maxine B. Jamerson Wright was born December 16, 1929 in McNairy County, TN, the daughter of the late Jessie Garner Jamerson and Eulah Marie Hardin Jamerson. She worked at Brown Shoe Factory after high School.

Maxine was united in marriage to Jimmie Narle Wright on August 1, 1951 in Corinth, MS. Mr. Wright preceded her in death on May 5, 2018. She was a long time member of Oak Lawn Baptist Church in Memphis, TN and attended Hardin's Graveyard Solitude Baptist Church in Leapwood, TN. She was a care giver for her mom and husband for years. She had a talent for cooking, quilting, gardening, and a deep love for working in her flower beds, and especially talking on the phone! These creative outlets brought her joy and allowed her to share her talents with others. Her warm personality and caring nature endeared her to all who knew her.

She departed this life on September 2, 2023 in Memphis, TN at the age of 93 Years, 8 Months, 17 Days.

Maxine is survived by two sons, Jeffery Allen Wright and wife Kathy of Arlington, TN, Eric Layne Wright and wife Linda of Bartlett, TN; two grandchildren, Jason Layne Wright and wife Rebecca of Enville, TN, Justin Blythe Wright and wife Megan of Collierville, TN; four great grandchildren: Tyler, Wyatt, Rylee, and Micah Wright; a sister, Betty McLaughlin and husband Bill of Burlison, TN; a brother, Harry Jamerson and wife Fran of Lakland, TN; and a host of other friends and family.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Price of Germantown, TN; and two brothers, Jimmie Jamerson of Hornersville, MO, and Don Jamerson of Selmer, TN.
