She was born in McNairy County, at Finger, and grew up in Chester County, the daughter of the late Edgar Dwight and Patie Brooksie Tedford Young. She graduated Chester County High School in 1947 and was married to Logan Leon Johnson in 1949. They made their home in Henderson and then moved to the Five Points Community. Mrs. Johnson worked as a sales clerk at Woolworth in Jackson and then at the Golden Rule Store in Henderson and retired from Bill’s Dollar Store. They were involved in an automobile accident, October 2005 and she had been hospitalized since that time. She attended Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband Logan Leon Johnson; a daughter Wanda Mann of Beech Bluff; two grand daughters Stephanie Mann and Kristi Mann and also two great grandchildren Joshua Mann and Kassidy Beasley; three brothers Fred Young of Henderson, Neal Young of Jackson and Jerry Young of Henderson; and two sisters Kathryn Carroll of Henderson and Claudette Taylor of Jackson.
