Maxine E. Burnette, 71, of Middleton, died Thursday evening, September 21, 2006 at her home.
The widow of A.C. Burnette, who died July 13, 2002, she worked in the personnel department of Western Mental Health Institute for 25 years. Mrs. Burnette was born October 20, 1934, in Tooele, Utah, daughter of the late Tony and Elsie Frances Burt Gregrich and moved here in 1954 to make her home. She loved genealogy, quilting and needlepoint, served in the U.S. Army for two years and was a member of West Memorial Baptist Church.
Services were 2 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Middleton chapel with Craig Shackleford officiating. Burial was in Middleton City Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Graves of Middleton and Vicky L. Rushing and her husband, Tom, of Cottage Grove; one son, John D. Burnette and his wife, Jennifer, of Middleton; one brother, John Gregrich and his wife, Carol, of Stansbury Park, Utah and five grandchildren, Michael Graves, Julie and Jason Goodrum, Josh and Jarred Burnette.
