Maxine Brown

Maxine Brown of Selmer, TN departed this life on March 16, 2015 in Selmer at the age of 76 Years, 9 Months, 15 Days. She was born June 1, 1938 the daughter of the late Lucius McDonald and Cordie Priscilla Campbell Huckabee.

She was united in marriage to Jimmie Brown on February 17, 1956.

Maxine was a member of Selmer First Baptist Church. She was a 1956 graduate of Ramer High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She never missed being present for any activities that involved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She wanted to be there if possible. Over the years, Maxine was a Clerk at various clothing stores in Selmer including Littlefield's and The Fashion Corner. She later owned and operated The Honey Tree in Selmer. Maxine always wanted to be busy. She loved to cook, quilt, all sewing, and crocheting. She had a green thumb and enjoyed working with Jimmie in tending to their plants and lawn.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jimmie Brown of Selmer; their children, Dale Brown and wife Carolyn of Pickwick Dam, TN, Charlotte Stanfield and husband Arnold of Ramer, TN; Pam Mitchell and husband Richard of Selmer; four grandchildren, Rodney Stanfield and wife Amber, Heather Dickey and companion John Sorey, Lindsey Henson and husband Adam, Randy Stanfield and wife Molly; a step grandchild, Angel Roberts and husband Tom; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon Huckabee of Stantonville, TN, Mack Lee Huckabee of Nashville, TN and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs Brown was preceded in death by a sister, Lodell Robinson; four brothers, J. D. Huckabee, Odus Huckabee, Gordon Huckabee, Gail Huckabee.
