Mavis Surratt

Mavis Surrattwas born in McNairy County, Tennessee on April 6, 1922 the daughter of the late Payton and Ruby Carroll Gann.She was united in marriage to James Surratt, who preceded her in death on April 18, 1988.Mrs. Surratt was a lifelong resident of Adamsville, Tennessee. She was a member of the Adamsville Lions Club and the First Methodist Church in Adamsville for 63 years, which she cared a lot for. She enjoyed attending the Adamsville Senior Citizens Center. She loved her family, friends, special neighbors, and her church.Mrs. Surratt departed this life on December 18, 2010 at the age of 88 years, 8 months, 12 days.Mrs. Surratt is survived by 2 daughters, Jenny Rodgers of Memphis, Tennessee and Ila Jane Linam and husband Don of Savannah, Tennessee; a son, Mike Surratt and wife Connie of Nashville, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Lynn Surratt; a sister, Merle Cox; 2 brothers, Marvin and Carroll Gann.
