Mattie Arline Moore

Mattie Arline McGarity Moore was born March 28, 1926 in McNairy County, TN, the daughter of the late Ed and Dora Walkins McGarity. She grew up in a small community called Mudd Creek near Adamsville, TN. She was united in marriage to Herbert J.D. Moore on November 5, 1940. Mr. Moore preceded her in death in April of 1995. Arline worked 40 years as a sewing operator before retiring. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee. Mrs. Moore departed this life on July 21, 2016 in Bolivar, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 3 Months, 23 Days.

She is survived by a daughter, Sue Nell Stafford and husband Lloyd of Bolivar, TN; a son, Jerry Neal Moore and wife Brenda of Finger, TN; four granddaughters: Brigit Turner, Jessica Huckaby and husband Benji, Molly Stafford and Tonya Norman; six great grandchildren: Joshua Moore, Hayden Moore, Hunter Turner, Scottie Norman, Shelby Turner and Maggie Huckaby.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her first grandchild, James Herbert Moore on November 30, 2011; her twin sister, Irene Barber; and three brothers: John Earl McGarity, Melvin McGarity and Willard McGarity.
