Mattie Lavelle Dickey

Services for Mattie Lavelle Melton Dickey, age 69 of Lawrenceburg, TN will be Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Grant Pavey officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitten's Crossroads Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge.



Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 5:30-9:00 PM and Thursday from 1:00 PM until service time at 3:00 at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood.



Pallbearers are Stevie Wayne Dickey, Armondo Reyes, Brandon Tomerlin, Dan Pernell, Jay Dickey, Brent Goins, James Harwell, and Sean Long



A native of Lawrence County, she was born December 2, 1942, a daughter of the late William Allen and Ruby Lorene Melton. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dickey was preceded in death by her husband William L. Dickey, Jr., a daughter, Sandra Dickey; and a sister, Rachael Paulson. Mrs. Dickey departed this life Monday, March 12, 2012 at her home at the age of 69 Years, 3 Months, 10 Days. She had worked at Murray Ohio and was a homemaker. She belonged to the family of Sonset fellowship.



She is survived by two sons, Steve Dickey of Lawrenceburg, TN and

David Hennessee of Florence, AL; two daughters, Tammy Hennessee of Florence, AL and Cleva Dickey of Lawrenceburg, TN; eleven grandchildren, Stevie Wayne Dickey, Jay Buck Dickey, Crystal Dickey, Lisa Dickey, Tosha Harwell, James Harwell, Lakin Hennessee, LeeAnn Boggs, Talisha Reyes, Mikala Boggs, Tammy Tomerlin; 20 great-grandchildren, Drew, Dominic, Isaiah, Kaleigh, Jeremiah, Lexi, Ethan, Kierra, Breydon, Jameyon, Jakoby, Nevaeh, Noah, Hannah, Gabby, Addalyn, Michael, Jessica, Damien and Brittny;

five sisters, Shelley Jean Anthony, Martha Ellen Novmn, Brenda Sue Sullivan, Betty Lou Brewer, and Ruby Lee Spurgeon; several neices, nephews, and friends.
