Mrs. Conner died Thursday afternoon at her home.
She was born in Hardeman county, the daughter of the late Tommy Tate Robbins and Amelia Augusta Ferge Robbins and had lived in Fayette County since 1935. It was on August 22 of that year, she married Mr. Joseph Otis Conner and they were husband and wife for 63 years before his death on March 24, 1999. She had formerly worked for 12 years at H. I. S. Most of her life's work was as a homemaker.
She leaves, as her survivors, her daughter, Frances C. Holley and her husband, John M., Sr., of Somerville; her son, Carl E. Conner and his wife, Virginia, of Lawrenceburg, TN; one brother, Thomas Oscar Robbins of Vildo; 3 grandchildren, Rolin Edward Conner and his wife, Angie, Virginia Hughes and her husband, Ken, and John M. Holley, Jr. and his wife, Christy; 6 great-grandchildren, Clayton and Carrie Conner, Holly and Heather Hughes, Jacob and Christa Holley; and 1 great-great-grandchild, Kyleigh Marie Conner.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Tommy Lucille Robbins Peterson Godwin, Pauline Wright and Alberta Davis.
