Mattie Viola Black

Miss Black died Sunday evening at Pine Meadows Nursing Home in Bolivar. She was the daughter of the late Monroe Livingston Black and Viola Jane Holloway Black and was a life long resident of Hardeman County. She retired as an office clerk for the Hardeman Farmers Co-Op and was a member of the Bolivar Cumberland Presbyterian Church.



Survivors include two sisters, Nell Black Ross of Bolivar and Mary Black Hill of Nashville; a brother, James L. Black of Whiteville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Sam, George and James Black.
