Matthew Dan Terry

was born in McNairy County, Tennessee on December 30, 1984 the son of Jerry Dan Terry and Peggy Stricklin Shubert.

Matthew did carpentry work for Stricklin Roofing. He was a resident of Hardin County all of his life. Matthew attended Turkey Creek Union Church. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, ginseng hunting, and Indian rock hunting. Matthew loved to aggravate his mother and was a big jokester.

He departed this life on November 8, 2022 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 37 years, 10 months, and 9 days.

In addition to his parents, Jerry Terry and Peggy Shubert, both of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by his brother, Jeremy Daniel Terry of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Jenny Lynn Harville of Savannah, Tennessee; step sister, Jennifer Sauceda of Corinth, Mississippi; and step brothers, Tim Shubert of Savannah, Tennessee, Dale Shubert of Destin, Florida, and Jeremy Wayne Terry of Wheeler, Mississippi.

Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie Stricklin, Jessie Stricklin Hughes, Jim C. Terry, and Edna Turnbow; and step grandfather, Joe Turnbow.
