Mary Margaret Warner

September 17, 1946 — January 9, 2022

Mary Margaret Warner of Morris Chapel, Tennessee, was born to Marvin and Lena Lewter on September 17, 1946 in Huntsville, Alabama. She peacefully passed away on January 9, 2022 and entered the gates of Heaven to receive her eternal reward.

Being the second born of eight children and the eldest girl, she maintained her role as matriarch of the family throughout her lifetime. It is very clear to all who knew her that her family, children and grandchildren brought much joy, love and fulfillment to her life.

Second to none, was her love for the Lord. She was a witness to all by living her life with unwavering faith and showing through a Christian example what it means to live a life devoted to the Lord. She was a devoted member of Living Word Fellowship in Savannah, TN.

Margaret also enjoyed a good game of Scrabble and watching Wheel of Fortune! She was always ready to join in and play games with her family whenever they were gathered together. Her children and grandchildren will always remember the anticipation of the candy and sweets she made during the holidays. And at Thanksgiving, her dressing was the best of all and nearly fought over!

She worked at various places throughout her life as she strove to provide a home while raising three sons alone. She was retired from Angelica Corporation in Savannah, Tennessee, after 17 years of service.

Margaret was a loving mother, devoted grandmother and great grandmother, as well as a beloved sister, aunt and friend. Her warmth and love for her family will live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones.

She leaves behind her sons: Wayne (Stacey) Warner of Summertown, TN; Alan (Lori) Warner of Morris Chapel, TN and Brian (Lesley) Warner of Morris Chapel, TN. Grandchildren: Matthew Warner of Nashville, TN; Mandy Warner of Spring Hill, TN; Samantha (J.D.) Bevel of Fredericksburg, VA; Ashley (J.D.) Martin of Savannah, TN; Mason (Kianna) McCann of Adamsville, TN; Zach Warner of Morris Chapel, TN and Gabe Warner of Morris Chapel, TN. Great granddaughters Lily Williams of Spring Hill, TN and soon-to-be Landyn Harper McCann. Brother: Jim (Katie) Lewter of Calumet Township, IN. Sisters: Diane (Frank) Shifley of Stantonville, TN; Charlotte (Billy) Young of Savannah, TN; Phyllis (Frankie) Wilson of Bethel Springs, TN and Brenda (Danny) Brashier of Ocala, FL. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her sister Judy Lopez, brother Phillip Lewter, grandchild Elijah Warner, niece and nephew Eric and Angelena Benavides.
