Mary Wallis

Mary Wallis, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born on December 15, 1944, in Bethel Springs, Tennessee, to the late R.D. and Julia Henry Johnson. 

She was a dedicated worker, spending many years at the Brown Shoe Factory and as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Adamsville Healthcare, before retiring from Connector Castings. 

Above all, Mary cherished time spent with her family. She found immense joy in the laughter and love shared among her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her heart was always open, providing warmth and guidance to those she loved. She attended First Baptist church in Bethel Springs, TN.

On March 1, 2025, at the age of 80 years, 2 months, and 14 days, Ms. Wallis departed this life in Adamsville, Tennessee, leaving behind a vibrant legacy. She is survived by her three sons: Jeff Wallis of Selmer, TN; Tim Wallis and his wife Michelle of Adamsville, TN; and Jason Wallis and his wife Alesha of Bethel Springs, TN. Her love lives on in her nine grandchildren: Joe Christopher Wallis, Heather Cummings, Amanda McNeil, Samantha Hastings, Jacob Wallis, Noah Wallis, Alyssa Crouse, Nick Wallis, and Hayley Mobley; as well as her 13 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Wallis was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Eugene Wallis;  three sisters: Maggie Mitchell, Annie Dillon, and Floella Johnson; and three brothers: Johnny, Thomas, and Eugene Johnson.

Mary Wallis will be lovingly remembered for her kindness and the cherished memories she created with those she loved.
