Mary Nell Tignor

Mrs. Tignor died at Whispering Hills Care Center in Mount Vernon, OH.

She was born and reared in Chester County, the daughter of the late Hal and Mary Trice Christopher. She graduated Chester County High School. She was married to John Harvey Tignor in 1942. They made their home in Jacks Creek. She was an employee of the Postal Service. They did extensive traveling, visiting all 50 states and Scotland, England, France, Germany and the Holy Land on two occasions. She was a member of the Jacks Creek Church of Christ. The past three years she had made her home in Mount Vernon, OH with her son.

She is survived by a son John Larry Tignor and wife Kay of Mount Vernon, OH; two grandchildren Janet Blank and husband Steve of Granite Bay, CA and Chris Tignor and wife Sue of Birmingham, AL; great grandchildren Andrea, Erick, Garrett and Kevin Blank and also a sister Rebecca Woods of Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Harvey Tignor in January 2005, two sisters DeLois McCoy and Rachel Christopher and a brother H.C. Christopher
